Welcome to Parents Who Rock!

Parents Who Rock is an association of musicians with eclectic musical tastes and talents who come together to perform to raise money for charity. The musical performances at Parents Who Rock shows range from rock to blues, Brazilian Jazz to folk, punk to country. The musicians come from various backgrounds, and as such, offer musical perspectives that are as diverse as the they are themselves.

The charities and organizations PWR artists lend their musical services to are equally varied: beneficiaries have included the Essex County Rape Center, Volunteers for Justice, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Covenant House New Jersey, and Montclair's Developmental Learning Center. Most recently, PWR performers joined forces to raise money to help fund construction of a universal playground in Montclair's Edgemont Park that would allow children and adults with disabilities to play alongside those without. In addition to staging a benefit show, PWR also released its first CD; all proceeds will help fund the playground.

The music of Parents Who Rock artists includes both original works and covers of songs from established acts. But each song is infused with the unique personality of the artist or group performing it.

Check out our Parents Who Rock player to sample songs from the CD, and tune in frequently for upcoming releases.
